The Best Free MLB Scores App in 2026
Every baseball app has the same problem. ESPN buries scores under sponsored articles and fantasy ads. The MLB app autoplays highlight videos that spoil games you haven't watched. CBS pushes Paramount+ subscriptions. And all of them are cluttered with gambling odds you didn't ask for.
Baseball Nut is the app we built because we couldn't find one that just showed us the scores.
Live Scores, Updated Every 30 Seconds
The scoreboard shows every MLB game today with live scores, inning, count, base runners, outs, and team records — updated automatically. During live games, you'll also see the current pitcher, batter, and count right on the card. Tap any game card to see the full box score, play-by-play, win probability, and top performers.
No ads between game cards. No gambling lines. No autoplay videos. Just the scores.
Favorite Teams Pinned to the Top
Go to Standings, tap any team, and star them as a favorite. Their games automatically pin to the top of the scoreboard with a highlighted border so you never have to scroll to find your team.
Standings with NUT Rankings
The Standings page shows every division with win-loss records, games back, and NUT team rankings. Tap any team to see their full schedule, roster, and team profile.
Stats Leaderboard
The Stats page lets you browse MLB leaders for every major category — batting average, home runs, ERA, strikeouts, and the NUT Score. Filter by position, date range, or search for any player.
Trending Players
The Trending Players page ranks the hottest 100 hitters and pitchers over the last 7 days by NUT accumulation. See who's on fire right now and add them to your Player Tracker with one tap.

Player Tracker
The Player Tracker is your personal watchlist. Add up to 40 players and see their season stats, NUT scores, and current status — active, injured, suspended, or free agent — all in one place. No account required — it saves locally on your device.
Player Comparison
Want to settle a debate? The player comparison tool lets you pick any two MLB players and see their stats side-by-side with NUT Scores. Compare specific seasons or full careers, see who leads in each category, and check awards head-to-head. Share any comparison with a link.
Fantasy Trade Analyzer
The trade analyzer helps you evaluate fantasy baseball trades using NUT values. Add up to 5 players to each side and see which team comes out ahead. Projections blend current season pace with last year's performance so you get a realistic read — not just a reaction to a hot or cold week.
Spoiler Mode
Recording the game to watch later? Turn on Spoiler Mode and all final scores are hidden behind a blur. Tap "Reveal" on any game when you're ready. No more accidental spoilers from opening a scores app.
The NUT Score: A New Way to Measure Impact
Every game card, player profile, and leaderboard in Baseball Nut features the NUT Score — our metric for how much a player helps their team win. It's like WAR but built only on hitting and pitching, so it's consistent, transparent, and easy to understand.
Positive NUT = helping the team win. Negative = hurting. Bigger number = bigger impact. That's it.
