Qualifying Offer 2026: All 8 Recipients by NUT, Arozarena Leads
2026 Qualifying Offer Recipients by NUT
Eight MLB free agents received the $23.15 million qualifying offer for 2027, and Randy Arozarena leads them at +3.4 SEASON NUT. Ryan Jeffers is last of the eight at +1.1, while Ty France (+2.3) did not receive one. Values are final 2026 regular-season NUT as of November 3.
NUT is one number for production against league average, built on the advanced hitting and pitching stats analysts trust, not batting average or ERA. Defense is left out, which matters for a catcher like Jeffers, and it measures 2026 only, not age or the next contract.
Offered $23.15M · 2026 season NUT
Four of the eight are hitters at +2.0 or better. Morejon and Bednar are relievers, so a one-year acceptance would pay either of them $23.15 million for about 70 to 90 innings at their 2026 workload. No decisions had been reported as of November 3.
Who Did Not Get a Qualifying Offer
These seven free agents were on MLB.com's list of candidates and did not receive an offer. France's +2.3 is higher than five of the eight recipients, and Michael Soroka's +1.3 is higher than Bednar and Jeffers.
No offer · 2026 season NUT
Some of the top free agents could not receive one at all. Tarik Skubal (+3.0) was traded during the season, and only a player who spent the full season with one organization qualifies. A player can also receive only one in his career, which rules out Gleyber Torres and Max Scherzer. See all 143 in the top MLB free agents of 2026-27 by NUT.
Qualifying Offer Deadline and Draft Pick Rules
Players have until November 17 at 4 p.m. ET to decide. A player who accepts signs for 2027 at $23.15 million with his 2026 club. A player who declines stays a free agent, and if he signs elsewhere, his old club receives draft pick compensation while the new club gives up draft picks and can lose international bonus money.
Before this winter, 18 of 157 offers had been accepted since the system began after the 2012 season. A record 4 players accepted last winter: Brandon Woodruff, Shota Imanaga, Trent Grisham and Gleyber Torres.
Every move is on the live Transactions page, and the December 1 labor deadline is covered in the 2026 MLB lockout post.
